We have a busy weekend!  Here is what is going on:

 

Saturday, February 22nd

“Blessed and Broken”

Middle School Youth Fest

Walk-Ins will be accepted!

When: Saturday, February 22, 2020

Where:  Shrine of St. Therese, 303 Goodnight Avenue

Registration: 6pm & Event at 6:20pm – 9:00pm

Fee:  $10

Mardi Gras Party at Christ the King in Adrians Hall

Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Tickets $5 – will be sold at the door.

Includes food, soft drinks, desserts and dancing. Music by JJ Valentine.

Libations – suggested donation of $2

Sunday February 23rd

Catholic Connection Sunday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the Little Flower Formation Center.  Classes for kids through adults!

  • Catholic Kids Camp for Pre-k through 5th grade (6th grade classroom)
  • Middle School “Hot Topics” for  6th, 7th, 8th grades  (7/8th grade classroom)
  • Adult Faith Formation Session: “Understanding God – Trinity” (Sr. Joan’s room North)

o   All parents of children preparing for the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation

o   Any other interested adults

  • First Communion Preparation (Sr. Joan’s Room South)

o   Parents of children in first communion preparation will attend the Adult Faith Session in Sr. Joan’s Room

Note that we also have a Church Search at Noon this Sunday (in the church)

At the end of the 10:45 a.m. Mass this Sunday we will be “Burying the Alleluia.”  Because Lent begins this Wednesday, we will no longer be singing the “Alleluia” until Easter comes again.   After the final prayer, our visiting priest Fr. Larry Solan will call forward any kids present to process out with the alleluia.  Any kids who want can join us!

There will be a “Church Search” activity at Noon on Sunday in the church for RCIC and First Communion kids and their parents.

High School Youth Fest  Walk-Ins will be accepted!

When: Sunday, February 23, 2020

Where:  Shrine of St. Therese, 303 Goodnight Avenue

Registration: 12noon & Event at 12:20pm

Fee:  $20

Mass with Bishop Berg at 4:00pm

This event takes the place of High School Discipleship class.

This year will feature Fr. Christopher Gama, OFM Cap.  Fr. Christopher is a Pueblo native who is a Franciscan Friar and priest, ordained in 2013.  Please fill out the attached forms and bring to the Youth Fest to register at the door.

Ash Wednesday is this Wednesday, February 26!  Here are the times you can receive ashes at Christ the King:

7:30 a.m. – Mass

Noon – Word Service

5:30 p.m. – Mass
