A resource for conversing with your teen

Hello parents and guardians –

I recently ran across an email that said “Stuck at Home with Your Teen?  Watch this…”  What a great opening line!  I’m loving being home with my teenagers, but I’m always looking for better ways to communicate with them.  Part of that is learning their language.  This link is for a Christian company called Axis – and it helps you understand your teenager’s vocabulary and what is going on in their lives.  It also helps you connect that to Gospel values.  And it doesn’t cost you anything – they send newsletters for free.  They are releasing three 10 minute video’s over the next few days to help you have meaningful conversations with your teen.
Here is a link to watch the first video and learn more about Axis:

Let Sarah Nelson know if you have requests for Prayers…

Prayer Line

The Gift of Intercessory Prayer:
“Rejoice in hope, endure in affliction, and persevere in prayer.” Romans 12:12

God invites us into a relationship with Him that is both personal and communal. He speaks to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, the Word-made-flesh. Prayer is our response to God who is already speaking or, better yet, revealing Himself to us. Therefore, prayer is not merely an exchange of words, but it engages the whole person in a relationship with God the Father, through the Son, and in the Holy Spirit. –-USCCB “United States Conference of Catholic Bishops”

Mission: To pray for the intentions provided from the Prayer Line.  We welcome prayer requests by either phone call or email.

Volunteer Prayer line ministers receive weekly texts (through Flocknote platform) or email or phone calls of prayer requests as they come in. Volunteer prayer ministers then pray for the requests within their own personal prayer time and in their own way.

Do you have a prayer request?

Or would you like to join in the gift of intercessory prayer and become a part of the network of volunteers currently praying?
