God invites us into a relationship with Him that is both personal and communal. He speaks to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, the Word-made-flesh. Prayer is our response to God who is already speaking or, better yet, revealing Himself to us. Therefore, prayer is not merely an exchange of words, but it engages the whole person in a relationship with God the Father, through the Son, and in the Holy Spirit. –-USCCB “United States Conference of Catholic Bishops”
Volunteer Prayer line ministers receive weekly texts (through Flocknote platform) or email or phone calls of prayer requests as they come in. Volunteer prayer ministers then pray for the requests within their own personal prayer time and in their own way.

There was a terrible tragedy in Las Vegas on Sunday night, right on the heels of three terrible hurricanes that have devastated the lives of thousands of our citizens. How do we talk with children about these things?
The following link has an excellent article about just this. While it focuses on teens, most of the suggestions would be good for smaller children and adults as well. We believe it is worth a read.

The Formation Center was renamed the “Little Flower Formation Center” after the patroness of our diocese, St. Therese of Lisieux who is called “the Little Flower.” We have a beautiful statue of her on the west end of the building. The children of Religious Formation, parents, and interested parishioners joined us for a special blessing on Sunday, October 2nd
